This rockin' little ditty is in the movie “Undocumented” and in the tv show LA Ink starring Kat Von D. Although written on acoustic guitar this tune is definitely an electric guitar song. The two main rhythm guitars are played by VJ on Karen's Fender Strat & Fender Tele both of which she modified nicely. Lead guitar is played on a PRS Santana double cutaway model and there are additional overdubs of Yamaha piano, bass and acoustic guitar. Karen sings background harmony vocals and plays the trumpet and trombone on the outro. Each brass part was recorded three times each for a nice thick layered sound. This is the second recorded version that Chris plays acoustic drums on and adds tambourine. The first version had a great energy but the wrong arrangement so we tracked this version. The first version will eventually be mixed and added to the site player and the music tab under Caution Cat outtakes/remixes. Lyrically this was fun to write because of the way the words play against the music. Random words that may mean something or nothing.
